Welcome to Sun & Shadow, a workshop inspired by Georgia O’Keeffe’s vision of Northern New Mexico. We will explore fundamental watercolor techniques while working from pictures taken at Ghost Ranch and Plaza Blanca, two places O’Keeffe painted extensively. I will guide you step-by-step in creating your own unique vision of the landscapes O’Keeffe found infinitely inspiring.

Topics include working with source material, sketching for composition, color theory, perspective, and developing a personal style.

All skill levels are encouraged to attend, and all materials provided.

Sean Hudson is an Albuquerque based painter with a great love and curiosity for art and its ability to transform our perception of the world. He’s a working studio artist and a passionate teacher with a particular aptitude for encouraging and inspiring personal narratives and unique styles at all levels in the artistic path.
