Vignettes: small brief sketches in pencil, charcoal and watercolor.

Find inspiration in photos of landscapes, still-lives and urban scapes. You will learn ways to find what you love about a subject and get your Ideas down in small thumbnail views with value, line and shape.

These small studies will train your eye and hands to find the essentials in a composition and develop your unique style and preferences as you build your skills.

Learning to see and express a range of value (dark to light) with pencils, watercolor pencils, charcoal and watercolor, expressive line and fundamentals of composition included.

Anne Hosanah Roe Has a BFA and MA in Arts and Education and 40+ years as a practicing artist and educator in public and private institutions, teaching all ages.
