Watercolor + flower playtime for Adults w/ Deborah Stein 8/4
Watercolor + flower playtime for Adults w/ Deborah Stein 8/4
Come celebrate Summer with LDBA to play and explore the beautiful possibilities of color palettes, new art supplies and truly beautiful flowers to make your own. We’ll explore the gorgeous handmade watercolors of LDBA, as well as ink, acrylic paint, and more while flirting and tinkering with pattern-making, color mixing, drawn surfaces with paint, and cool object-making with paper folding, cutting and collage! You’ll go back in time and consider lost worlds and words in handwritten “spells” to kick-off summer and put together inventive moveable painted paper puppets from the beautiful hand-painted papers we’ll make ourselves.
This afternoon of super fun will free you up to the true fun that watercolor and art-making can be (while sneakily learning watercolor layering techniques, some fun methods for watercolor lettering and picture making and the value of working on more than one thing at a time in water-media!). Mostly we’ll spend some extraordinary hours together playing, laughing and learning to create wonderful gifts for yourself or for others with passion and creativity.
All materials provided and all skill levels welcome!
