When I first asked what this pigment was, my vendor’s response was “It’s a pink rock”. I had to have it, and while I was mixing and grinding, some magic happened; it turned grey! I painted with the fresh paint and it was a bit grey, but then turned the lightest pink, like a kitten’s nose when it’s wet. When the paint cured, it was a gorgeous dusty pink. The paint is a bit grainy, like a fine sand, and it’s quite translucent- Think pink cashmere., that incredible french portrait where it seems the subject has a light pink rose in her cheeks, or the very first sign of the sun rising on a grey day. Thulit is a pink-red Zoisit specialty from Norway.
Standard 1/2 pans fit our watercolor boxes and travel tins.
