Whether you are just wanting to start drawing or looking to restart your drawing skills, this session invites you to explore drawing basic still life, and/or botanical shapes. Improving your drawing also improves your painting skills.

Participants are guided according to their skill level to complete studies. Session emphasizes selecting good subject matter, lighting, values, and composition. Media: pencil, and charcoal. supplies included

Santa Fe Artist, Lisa Coddington, MA, has been teaching art for over 20 years at numerous traditional and non-traditional educational organizations. Some locations include University of New Mexico, Santa Fe Community college, Denver and Cleveland Botanical Gardens. Her commissioned art ranges from licensing art for the gift industry, to private commissions. She received two educational grants. The first grant supported attending a Master Botanical Class at Cornell University, and the second grant supported her teaching a botanical art workshop in Grenada, West Indies. Her art is licensed for cards and prints with Santa Fe Prints and images, and is represented by Ernesto Mayans Gallery, Canyon Road in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
